While the convoluted design may reduce flow rate by approximately 10%-15% compared to smooth tubes due to turbulence, its minimum bending radius is only 1/3 that of a smooth tube, saving substantial installation space.

Standard convoluted tubes may lose about 1% of compressive strength in high-temperature vacuum environments above 150°C.
