Mechanical engineers around the world are increasingly abandoning their metal counterparts in favor of an engineering miracle called polytetrafluoroethylene or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). PTFE products are engineering plastics that provide long-term benefits in a variety of industries, including reduced downtime, improved performance and better resistance to nature. Polytetrafluoroethylene products can not only be made into rods, but also can be made into tubes, hoses and sheets.
PTFE corrugate tube
Bellows or crimped tubes: this special type of PTFE hose has multiple folds on the outer wall of the tube. This characteristic makes the bending degree of the pipe much greater than that of the ordinary pipe, thus reducing the problem of twisting and kinking when the pipe passes through the narrow angle position when moving the pipe.
The advantages of the hose are:
Wear resistance: compared with ordinary metal, PTFE hose has natural lubrication, which helps to improve the wear resistance and service life of rollers, gears, seals and bearings.
Temperature resistance: PTFE hose is not only resistant to high temperature, but also low temperature. This capability helps to reduce costs associated with loss of mechanical properties.
Lightweight: PTFE hose is known for its light weight, so when used as a substitute for metal parts, the part weight is reduced by at least 30% and up to 50%. This feature helps to save energy if used in liner sports, transportation and material handling applications.
Shock absorption and shock resistance: PTFE hose has good shock absorption and shock resistance.
